DO NOT ABANDON YOUR BULKY WASTE ON THE STREET

Perhaps you're not aware that we've made many options available for disposing of bulky waste, so there's no need to decide to abandon it near the bins because it seems complicated to do otherwise.

Discarded waste left near bins, besides being an issue for the city's appearance and hygiene, creates serious problems for waste collection, as it cannot be picked up by refuse collectors during their normal rounds. Instead, it requires dedicated collection teams, thereby increasing the service's management costs.

Help us to keep tidier; you can get rid of your bulky waste:

  • Taking them to the Municipal Collection Centre
  • Booking your free collection from your home
  • Taking them to the mobile recycling centre

Deposit at the Municipal Collection Centre

The simplest and most direct way is to take your bulky items to the Municipal Collection Centre located at the Sea-S headquarters on Via Caravaggio.

You can load your bulky items into the car and take them to the Collection Centre, following the few rules found in the dedicated section of the website: Recycling centre

Free bulky item collection at your home

The bulky waste collection service at your home is free for up to 5 items at a time, with an item being defined as waste, or part of it, which can be easily handled by two people in terms of weight and dimensions without the use of hoists, cranes, forklifts, etc.

This means that if you have a wardrobe, you will have to deal with dismantling it and taking 5 boxes at a time, even packaging multiple parts of the furniture together, as long as you ensure that the joined pieces can be easily handled by the operators.

The instructions are simple and clear, and it's important that they are followed because otherwise the operators cannot complete their work. If you don't follow the rules, you create inconvenience for yourself, as bulky items will not be collected, for the operators who will not be able to complete their assigned task, and for all your fellow citizens.

You can book the collection by calling the Sea-S toll-free number and you will need to follow the instructions given by the telephone operator, particularly regarding the placement area, which must be at street level on public ground, and regarding the labelling of the waste.

Mobile Recycling Centre

If you have a small number of items to drop off, you can use the Mobile Recycling Centre service. This is a specially equipped and easily identifiable vehicle that stops at fixed points in different areas of the city on a rotating basis. The point is staffed by SEA-S personnel who will assist you if needed.

The methods of accessing the service are detailed on the dedicated page for Mobile Recycling Centre
