BULKY WASTE SHOULD NOT BE ABANDONED IN THE STREET!

Private citizens (excluding companies) who need to dispose of large objects, such as refrigerators, TVs, washing machines, mattresses, furniture, large quantities of garden clippings and prunings, wood or metal material have four different options available to them.

Possibility 1: Mobile Ecology Station [FREE SERVICE].

The Mobile Ecological Station is the system that the Municipality of Savona and ATA S.p.A. are proposing to citizens for the purpose of facilitating the correct disposal of bulky waste from private citizens (no companies or commercial users) to supplement the collection methods.

The Mobile Ecological Station consists of a specially equipped and easily identifiable vehicle, with dedicated signs, which stops alternately at fixed points located in different areas of the city, according to the schedule and timetable described below.- Citizens can drop off their bulky waste (furniture, armchairs, mattresses, metals, wood, household appliances, neon tubes and Pb batteries) free of charge at the collection vehicle, which is manned by staff specially trained to check the material and load the bulky waste onto the vehicle.

In order to allow all citizens to use the service, a maximum of no more than 3 bulky items per person at any one time may be brought in.

The collected materials are then transported to the centre in Via Caravaggio and sorted into the various categories for recovery and/or proper disposal.

Nine collection points are identified, of which two are served weekly and seven fortnightly, as detailed in the following table. In the event of holidays, the service will be skipped to the following week/fortnight.
