The Sea-S Company, in collaboration with the Savona Municipal Administration, announces the launch of a series of environmental education meetings aimed at primary and secondary schools in the area. The project, which will start in February 2025, has been developed in view of the introduction of the new Porta a Porta separate waste collection service.

The initiative aims to raise awareness among students, future responsible citizens, on the issues of sustainability and proper waste management, while involving families and promoting greater civic awareness in the community.

The meetings will be conducted by qualified and experienced school teachers, and will offer different educational modules customised to the needs of individual schools. The active involvement of teachers will be essential to make environmental education an ongoing theme within the school curriculum.

The programme includes:

- Primary Schools: Two hours of activities including a frontal lesson on the history of materials, production technology, proper waste separation and the Recycling Cycle. For primary schools, we will start mainly with the treatment of plastic and paper.

- Lower Secondary Schools: A one-hour module addressing the main topics related to materials, the Recycling Cycle and sustainable practices.

Activities will take place in the classroom, with the help of multimedia tools such as the interactive whiteboard and readily available materials for practical workshops.

The School Managers and their delegates have widely adhered to the training activities and meetings have been scheduled and timetabled since February 2025.
